I’m easing myself into the transition….and marveling at all of the places my logo has ended up over the year since I’ve had it! If I miss one anywhere, feel free to let me know :)

I’ll also be switching over my domain name on my website to mariahgale.com shortly.

As a kid, I remember being able to go to bed every night looking forward to something the next day in the summertime. We’d either hit the beach, play in the pool, spend time with mom, or do a multitude of fun things she always had planned for us-crafts, water parks, hikes, Chuck E Cheese, and everything in between. Summer was heaven- one continuous round of sunshine and fun. This session with siblings Julia and Nick reminds me of those blessed warm months- bright, uninterrupted, relaxed, and full of smiles. :)

I’m so absolutely excited to offer this to my portrait clients. I haven’t gotten around to taking pictures of it until today, but here it is. It’s the most luxurious, heavy, beautiful album on the market, and it’s all mine. Ahem, well, yours!

The cover image is printed onto a high-quality lined keepsake box to house your album in. The album pictured (my sample carried to sessions) is thinner than the actual keepsake album (5 leaves, 10 Images). The session album offered for portrait clients is in fact a 15-leaf, with 30 8×10’s featured. So imagine the album you see here, only x 3! I would have that as a sample, but trust me, it’s a bit too heavy to travel with to sessions :)

The album itself is 12×12 inches, which rivals the biggest coffee table books. Professionally bound, thick matting gives your album a weight and presence that echoes the emotion of your images:

Your favorite image is printed onto silk, and wrapped around your album cover, with a custom-imprinted title:

Isn’t it pretty? I’ll add more images of details a bit later.

As a photographer, I continually get to meet and hang out with some of the coolest families around- virtually every day! I take pride in the fact that we shake hands at the beginning of a session, but part with hugs at the end. My last little modeling client offered to make me macaroni and cheese in exchange for staying a little longer, haha :) I am so blessed to have made so many wonderful friends over the course of running my business.

So, in honor of all of the gorgeous mamas I’ve met, I’m giving away gift certificates for the next week! Am I crazy? Maybe! Email me, and I’ll send you a $20 gift certificate for your loved one, yourself, your kids, your best friend, or your Mom. Especially your mom. :)

Send your emails here:

contact@mariahgale.com

The certificates are redeemable for a session fee or prints and products with us. They are good until Mother’s Day 2009. You may submit an email until Sunday, May 18th at midnight (ET) to take advantage of this offer. Certificates will be sent digitally, and can be printed or sent to your loved one.

Enjoy this beautiful, beautiful mom’s day!

Our new 2008 line of custom announcement cards is here! These are displayed as birth announcements, but can be customized as baby shower cards, invitations, or thank-you cards, and can be filled in with birth stats, quotes, or any number of possibilities! Ask me about rates and custom design.

I am SO excited to offer these, and I really think they fit with the fun, light, bright style we put forth in our images.

Our first card is a front and back or inside/outside combination, depending on if you’d like a folded or flat card. Boy version is also available:

The next series is one of my personal favorites. Juicy, colorful, and bright, these really put forth the “fruit” of your “labors” (forgive me). Blank spaces are for stats:

You can’t go wrong with argyle and paisely for your wee one:

Stars and Flowers fill these 5×7 cards (empty space for stats and names):

Birds hop among dots in these 5×5 cards:

And country charm meets modern chic in these 5×7’s:

And some general purpose cards that can be used for virtually anything!:

Aren’t they adorable! I want to print these out and send them just for fun, they’re so cute. Each card (except for the first card and the 5×5’s) is a 5×7 flat card. They can be ordered as folded cards with blank insides as well.

Card are sold at a minimum of 50, and in multiples of 25 after that. They come with your choice of linen or plain envelopes. They are a gorgeous way to announce your new addition- or anything you’d like!

I’ve mentioned it in multiple posts so far, so you may be wondering what this “Dwell” thing is all about, and why I babble about it incessantly. Frankly, it is the cutest, most well-made bedding and baby accessories I could ask for, and I am determined to show it off, so that you may share in the obsession (and make me feel better about, haha).

Kills me. Absolutely kills me. They have a Target line for the bargain-inclined, and I own a couple pieces that go in the pink bag for sessions. Check out that link above for a boutique collection (one of many…there are more patterns!), and here for the Target collection:

Obsess for Less!

That catchy link title is all yours truly. I suppose you’ll thank me after you check this stuff out, but your bank account (or significant other) may not. So this is a warning: Mariah M. Is NOT responsible for any bankruptcies or domestic disputes that come of this blog post, and relinquishes all responsibility for the utter cuteness of this line. There. You’ve been warned. ;)
