Susan and Emmy Farese – MA Modeling Headshot Photography
I meet the absolute coolest families. No really, I do. When I arrived at Sue and Emmy’s house for their dual mother-daughter modeling and talent shoot, I was greeted by boxes of Dunkin’ Donuts muffins, Doughnuts, and freshly brewed coffee. Mmmm. Now THAT’s what I call workin’ it for the photographer! :)
They just moved here from California, and have been cast in multiple movies, one recent one being The Kite Runner. You can look for Susan in the upcoming flick This Side Of The Truth, a comedy directed by Ricky Gervais, and featuring Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, and Tina Fey, among others! Both mom and daughter are looking to bring their acting and print modeling talent to the East Coast.
Anyway. Onto the pictures. We had a blast shooting, and what an enigmatic duo. I have to start out with this image, because how many mothers and daughters do you know that can tap dance with each other? In synch? Smiling?!

I dare you to tell me how many you know!

Funny story with this shot. We were in the downtown area getting lunch (and getting shots at the outdoor restaurant we lunched at), and I couldn’t get the idea of ’shopping’ shots out of my head. So we detoured into a stylish-looking store, and requested one of their shopping bags to use as a prop. The conversation with the poor girl at the desk went something like this:
“Sorry to bother you, but do you think we could borrow one of your bags?”
*stares*
“I’m a photographer, and I’d like to use it as a prop….I don’t need any clothes in it..just a…bag…for my model, here!”
*stares*
“I promise I’ll bring it back?” ….. “It’s just for a couple shots?”
(finally realizes what I’m talking about)…”Do you..uhh…want any tissue paper in it?”
(Mariah gets excited) “Oh YES! PERFECT! Do you have green? It would go perfectly! PERFECT!”
*stares*
I make incredible amounts of friends on shoots, as you can tell. :) But see how perfectly it turned out? The green. Essential.

Mom and Daughter:

Again, this family knows how to treat a photographer. I wanted to get some cafe shots, and they decided to just treat me to lunch while I was photographing them! Can’t beat that.

…and then ice cream!

I’ll sign off with a simple (yet stylish..check out her eyes! gorgeous.) headshot:

And a not-so-simple headshot, haha!:

Can’t you just feel the talent oozing from them? Emmy and Susan, thanks for hanging out with me, and best of luck on your East Coast endeavors!
Until Next Time, M
