Announcement: we’re teaming up with Heidi Hope!

2012 is bringing big changes! I am joining the fabulous Heidi Hope Photography to open a new senior, modeling, and family photography division under the Heidi Hope brand.

Starting in March, I will be operating exclusively as “Mariah Gale for Heidi Hope” out of Providence, Rhode Island. All of my photography sessions will be booked through the Heidi Hope studio, and will be subject to new studio pricing and policies.

What does this mean for you? If you’re a client that has already booked for 2012, your session and pricing will be honored. If you’re a potential repeat Cameo client, we will be offering modeling sessions- please stay tuned for pricing and packages under the new brand. If you haven’t booked for 2012 and would like to, please look over the Heidi Hope pricing and policies at our website.

What does this mean for me? Personally, I am so thrilled with this new chapter in my photography career. It’s a dream come true to be able to shoot full-time with a fabulous creative team and all the business aspects taken care of. I’ll even continue to serve the Boston area!

Jen Rowley | Brooklyn, NYC Fashion Photography

I met up with Jen, a longtime model, in Brooklyn’s Green Wood Cemetery. Her style is always impeccable, and she’s always down for things like…jumping into a pond in November. That’s the definition of a good model, right there.

Meg | Mariah Gale | MA Modeling Photography

This is my sister, who just moved to Brooklyn this weekend. She is beautiful and brave. This was the last shoot we did before her move, and I love it.

Amazing use of light

Sisters | Mariah Gale | MA Family Photography

I’ve done a fair amount of shoots with recurring clients this Summer, and it’s always fun to see how the kids have grown. Last time I photographed these two Clara was only 6 months old, so it was incredible to see her jump out of the car this weekend and start chatting away about preschool. Joya is an awesome big sister, and it was fun to see them interact!

Such a sweet, funny, stylish, and gorgeous family. More to come!

Hanover, NH and Quechee, VT | Mariah Gale | New England Photographer

After Simon’s shoot, we spent the day exploring the Hanover/Quechee area. We hit Simon Pearce, Quechee Gorge, an impromptu Scottish/Celtic fair on the Quechee polo field, and then downtown Hanover and the Dartmouth bookstore.

First, Simon Pearce. We happened to be here the day before Irene hit Vermont HARD. The pottery and lower levels were severely flooded on Sunday. We were lucky enough to soak it all in before it was hit.

Visitors are able to watch the glass pieces being made. Here, a candlestick is being shaped, and then a tumbler.
Simon Pearce is run on hydropower, which takes advantage of, well, this:

Here’s the hydropower generator, in the basement, adjacent to the waterfall (flooded in Irene):

Onto the upstairs art gallery, where there were mirrors. And some art? We all know what happens when I find a reflective surface:

Then! Quechee Gorge. We were too tired to hike all the way down to the river, so we observed from the bridge:

Driving to the gorge, we saw signs for a Scottish/Celtic fair on the Quechee polo field, and decided to go take a look. I fit right in. They had Scottish games, including haybale throwing and sheep herding:

And the requisite bagpipers, of course:

Onto downtown Hanover, and the Dartmouth bookstore, where we found some stimulating reading:

What? "Fine" doesn't really mean "fine"?

I will certainly use THIS against her!

Is this a satire? Do males have brains?

JKLOL, I am so wittyyyyyyyy.

Gelato. And a fun wall:

The end.

Love the images, fun, witty and beautiful!

Either he’s really tall or objects in the rear view mirror are shorter than they appear….

Mariah Gale - September 2, 2011 - 2:54 pm

I’m 5’4. He’s a foot taller than me. Funny- people have commented that they assume I’m a lot taller than I am from seeing pictures, ha.
